Eagle Update
Eagle baseball continued their conference season in Fort Smith, AR, with a four-game set against the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith.
Oklahoma Christian won three of four games, sending them 5-3 over the first two series of the season.
Men’s basketball is in the middle of a three-game losing streak, the latest coming thanks to St. Edward’s University. The Eagles are 5-14 in conference play with three games remaining.
Women’s basketball picked up a couple of wins before also losing to St. Edwards, matching the men’s record now at 5-14.
Eagle swim had their conference meet this past weekend from Feb. 8 to the 11. The men broke three school records in the 100-yard freestyle, 200-yard breaststroke and the 400-yard freestyle relay. They finished second overall.
Women’s swim placed third at the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships.
Eagle softball was off this past weekend, but conference play begins on Feb. 17 at Western New Mexico University.
Pitchers and catchers reported to spring training for the 2023 season, which starts on March 30.
2023 MLB Spring Training
Spring training games will begin on Feb. 24 with full rosters reporting next week.
The Kansas City Chiefs are Super Bowl champions for the second time in four years. Quarterback Pat Mahomes took home the Super Bowl MVP award for the second time in his career.

Alvin Kamara Arrested
New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara and Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Chris Lammons were two of four people arrested for a beating in a Las Vegas nightclub in February of 2022.
The four individuals, including Kamara and Lammons, were charged with battery resulting in bodily harm.
