The royal roundabout of cancer treatments came to an end for Princess Kate of Wales. The wife of Prince William, Kate Middleton, attended her first private meeting at Windsor Castle on Tuesday this week since her breast cancer treatment ended.

“Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes,” Middleton said in a video message.

Middleton has attended many public meetings since revealing she has been undergoing cancer treatments earlier in March.

“I am now in the early stages of (cancer) treatment,” Middleton said in a statement released by the Palace in March. She also thanked the public for their “time, space, and privacy” as she underwent this cancer treatment.

Middleton described how the diagnosis affected her and her family.

“This (cancer diagnosis), of course, came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our family,” Middleton said. “It has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them, and to reassure them I am going to be okay.”

Middleton’s absence from her royal duties has left a shortage of royals to carry out official duties, since the death of Queen Elizabeth II in 2022, the departure of Prince Harry and Meghan to California and the realignment of Prince Andrew from his front-line military duties.

A suspect has been arrested for the second assassination attempt made this year on former President Donald Trump

On Sunday, a secret service agent spotted Routh hiding in the shrubs one hole ahead of former President Trump with a SKS-style rifle missing a serial number. A few wanton shots were fired and Routh quickly ran from the bushes, only to be captured moments later.

According to FBI agents, Routh had arrived at the Trump International Golf Course nearly twelve hours before the shooting occurred and hid in the shrubbery.

“You’d have to do some footwork patterns to lay low,” FBI agent Petrino said.

“Could he have done that on a computer with Google Maps? Sure. But it seems like there was some planning and thought that went into this. How did he know to go to that spot? The chances of him being in the area, seeing a motorcade and saying, ‘That’s the president, I’m going to go get him,’ are very low.” Petrino said.

Routh made a large number of political posts on X before the assassination attempt. He called Trump a “buffoon,” “fool” and an “idiot.” The FBI is in the process of investigating how Routh found the exact location of Donald Trump within his golf course.

“I supported Trump in 2016 but came to view the decision as a terrible mistake,” Routh said.

“Feel free to assassinate Trump,” Routh said in another post on X, “as well as me for an error in judgment.”

Routh is currently facing charges for possessing a fire-arm with no serial number and obtaining the weapon despite a prior conviction. Routh will face additional charges for the attempted assassination of a former President as well.

Dennis Quaid visited the Edmond Showbiz theater for the preview of his new movie “Reagan.

Quaid, as well as the rest of the cast, filmed most of the movie in Guthrie, Oklahoma, during the COVID-19 pandemic.

When Quaid was asked to share memorable moments while filming, he gave a hearty shoutout to Guthrie Sonic workers.

“All the kids that work over at the Sonic there … in Guthrie … you stay open the latest, and I really appreciate you on those late nights when I needed a burger and some fries,” Quaid said.

“Reagan” was one of the few movies that was filmed during COVID due to Governor Kevin Stitt and Guthrie Mayor Steve Gentling’s policies.

Allowing filming and Guthrie citizens to live free from lockdown influenced many directors and producers to film movies in Oklahoma.

“Not only do I say, ‘Come to Oklahoma’ to shoot your next movie, I’m shooting my next movie in Oklahoma called ‘Will to Win.’ So, basically, you got to come here. Great crews. Great cast,” Sean McNamara, Reagan’s director, said.

“We were able to staff it with mostly Oklahomans throughout the whole film. Our department heads were from Oklahoma, most of them. And we’ve got a lot of great talent here,” John Sullivan, the line producer, said.

“This is the only Red Carpet event for the film outside of Los Angeles,” the organizers of the event said.
