Amazon released a video on Monday outlining plans for a delivery system that features a new drone prototype. The online superstore announced two years ago they were developing the concept, but current plans won’t come into fruition until several years down the road.

  • Turnpike Authority announces plans for PikePass use in Texas (Tulsa World)

The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority approved plans that will allow PikePass holders to use the devices in Texas. The plan is to be initiated in 2017 with the hope of adding more states to list of where PikePass is usable.

  • OU reaches settlement over Nazi-stolen painting (NewsOK)

A French woman filed a filed lawsuit last year in an attempt to recover a painting that was in the possession of the University of Oklahoma. Jewish businessman Raoul Meyer owned the painting, Camille Pissarro’s “Shepherdess Bringing In Sheep,” before World War II. During the war Nazi soldiers looted the painting with Meyer’s large art collection. University officials confirmed a settlement on Wednesday.

  • State higher education officials want to make math more career-oriented (NewsOK)

Oklahoma higher education officials are re-evaluating math education by taking part in a Mathematics Pathways to Completion project. The project sets goals of transforming strategies around math education and aligning pathways to specific fields of study that could be more relevant to students.
