Talon Staff Picks 2026

Spring Sing season is here! This year, the Talon staff is back to give you their picks for who will win Spring Sing: Let’s go to the Movies!

*Disclaimer: Do not take these rankings seriously, this is all in good fun*

5th place: Lambda Chi Zeta (Rio)

The rebirth of Lambda has brought on many a great show, particularly with their vocal talent and harmonies. With Annie Moore’s background leading worship, this year should be no different. Add New Reign performers Maddy Gauthier and Ajaya Macon, and there is a show bursting with potential harmonies. It has been four years since Lambda won, and this year they look to be yet another top contending club.

4th place: Delta Gamma Sigma (Top Gun)

Six points. That is how close Delta was to getting into the top five last year and proving they can put on more than just an entertaining show. While many see the lack of experience from the directors as a potential cause for disaster(Trenton Hensley and Wilson Rankin combined have the experience of one spring sing performance), the dedication from top Delta stars like Dillon Gann and Blake Morrison sets the stage for another great Delta show.

3rd place: Chi Lambda Phi (Scooby Doo)

Winning back to back spring sing titles is no easy feat, but pulling off a 3-peat is something that has not been done since 2016. But if there is a crew that can pull it off, it’s this Chi squad. With seniors who have gone from 4th place as freshmen to winning twice, and the directing duo of Jaxon Santos and Jacbo McWatters, Chi is ready to flip their way to victory. It should be no coincidence that Chi was the last club to three-peat spring sing, and there would be little surprise if they pull it off again here.

2nd place: Kappa Sigma Tau (Up)

For the last two years, Kappa has gone from a middle of the pack show to a top contender. Consistently finding fun new ways to incorporate their theme with the spring sing show, and adding a mix of creative choreography with creative part timers, Kappa has all of the pieces to potentially win once again. With Drew Hamil and Liam Davis calling the shots as directors and a cast ready to go all in, Kappa is poised to once again be at least a fan favorite show.

1st place: Gamma Rho (Cinderella)

With a homecoming title already won, and an all sports race as tight as ever, the talk of Gamma winning a triple crown is real. Addie Neal and Sophie Brown are back in the director’s chairs following a strong freshmen show two years back. With clean lines, a simple theme from a classic movie, and a show full of life and energy, get ready for a performance you have never seen before.

The Talon Staff also voted on who they think will win the individual awards. Here are the results:
