What do you think led to your team winning the volleyball championship?
Ultimately, I think we made it to the championship because we pulled through in the games that really counted. Early on, we had the tendency to get in our heads really easily, let the other teams take big leads, and play down a lot. I think we fixed those problems really well as the season went on, and because of that, we were able to finish strong.
Were you confident heading into the championship game?
To be honest, I was not incredibly confident heading into the championship. I was pretty nervous and not 100% sure we would able to pull off a win. I also knew that no matter what happened it was going to be a blast because Iota’s top goal is to have fun. So, even though I was not totally confident, I was excited and knew that having fun with my club, regardless of the outcome, was what was most important.
How do you think you impacted the game?
I think I was having a pretty good night during the championship, so that definitely didn’t hurt. Truly, I couldn’t have played the way I did without every other girl on the team. Everyone’s passes were really good and consistent, Brynn’s sets were amazing, and everyone made very few errors.
What made this volleyball season special to you?
This was my last season of volleyball intramurals, so that is easily the biggest reason it was so special. I’ve played with some of these girls for the past few years, so to be able to finish out our last year by winning the championship is more than I could’ve asked for. I really wasn’t expecting it going into the season, so I genuinely don’t think it could have gone any better. Every part of Iota is really special to me, and I’m so thankful for everything it has been for me over the past 3 years.

What do you think led to your team winning the volleyball championship?
In volleyball, the best team always wins, and the outcome was no different in the case.
Were you confident heading into the championship game?
Anytime you have Michael Jordan (Vinny) and Scotty Pippen (Me) on your team you’re not going to lose.
How do you think you impacted the game?
I might not have a vertical, but my serve is deadly and they just couldn’t return it. In the end we hustled, balled out, and we got the win.
What made this volleyball season special to you?
The boys sent me out on top as a champion and that’s all I could have asked for. Especially, in a pandemic year.
