Homecoming executive. Kennah Foster presented on behalf of the homecoming board. The theme for the year is “Choose your own adventure,” inspired by board games. As this year marks the 70th year of Oklahoma Christian University’s existence, the homecoming team will sell special t-shirts and stickers to students and alumni.
The week of homecoming will consist of free activities for students including a campus-wide scavenger hunt, notes to Lois, a pep rally and more. Oklahoma Christian’s 70th birthday party will take place on November 6.
President Nash Scott also led a discussion about “Hot Button Issues” including recycling and green initiatives, mental breaks next semester and hiring more faculty and staff of color.
Vice president Audrey Redfearn presented on Acts of Random Kindness (A.R.K) week and the Fall Festival. During A.R.K week, students will have the opportunity to donate school and hygiene supplies to Positive Tomorrows, a high school in the Oklahoma City Area.
Fall Festival will take place from 3-10 pm on campus. The event will include food trucks, an ice rink, concerts and competitions. Students will not have to pay for anything.
