Dr. Phil Show to End after 21 Seasons
The popular daytime TV talk show Dr. Phil will be ending this spring after a 21-season run.
Despite ending his popular show, Dr. Phil McGraw will keep his relationship with current network CBS as he plans to announce a “prime-time partnership” which is set to take place in 2024.
Steve LoCascio, the President of CBS Media, confirmed the network’s relationship with the psychologist would remain strong.
“While his show is ending after 21 years, I’m happy to say our relationship is not,” LoCascio said. “We plan to be in the ‘Dr. Phil’ business for years to come and welcome opportunities to work together in the future.”
McGraw also issued a statement claiming there was much more he wanted to do in terms of his career.
“I have been blessed with over 25 wonderful years in daytime television,” McGraw said. “This has been an incredible chapter of my life and career, but while I’m moving on from daytime, there is much more I wish to do.”
McGraw’s television career began in the ‘90s when he appeared several times on The Oprah Winfrey Show as an expert.
McGraw’s self-titled show premiered in 2002 and during the past two decades, he has hosted around 4,000 episodes and featured 20,000 guests. An average of 2 million people watch Dr. Phil, making it one of the top five highest rated talk shows.

Beyonce Announces Renaissance World Tour
Singer Beyonce has announced a world tour promoting her seventh solo studio album Renaissance.
Publicized via her social media on Feb. 1, the tour will be the singer’s first since 2016. Beyonce’s 41-date tour kicks off on May 10 in Stockholm, Sweden, and concludes on Sept. 27 in New Orleans, LA.
Ticketmaster is preparing for what appears to be a high demand in regards to distributing tickets, as many fear a botched presale.
“The demand for this tour is expected to be high,” a Ticketmaster statement read. “[A multi verification process] will ensure more tickets get in the hands of concert goers and will filter out buyers looking to resell tickets and automated bots.”
This preparation comes after last November when Taylor Swift fans were met with long wait times and glitches while trying to purchase tickets for her Eras tour. Within 48 hours of presale, Ticketmaster canceled the general public sale, citing insufficient ticket inventory to meet demand.
Ozzy Osbourne Announces he is Finished Touring
On Feb.1, heavy metal legend Ozzy Osbourne released a statement saying he will not be able to tour again.
The singer cited a spine injury as the reason he would not be getting back on the road.
“Four years ago, this month, I had a major accident where I damaged my spine. My one and only purpose during this time has been to get back on stage,” Osbourne said. “My singing voice is fine, however, after three operations, stem cell treatments, endless physical therapy sessions… my body is still physically weak.”
Osbourne said he was upset to disappoint his fans, and expressed his gratitude to his crew, bandmates, family, fans and Judas Priest, who was supposed to serve as Osbourne’s supporting act.
“Never would I have imagined my touring days would have ended this way,” Osbourne said. “My team is currently coming up with ideas for where I will be able to perform without having to travel from city to city and country to country.”
Osbourne, 74, has faced multiple health roadblocks during his attempts to get back on the road. Between Parkinson’s disease and his spine injury, he has been able to attend one-off performances and spend time in the studio, but his long-postponed farewell tour is something he will never go back to.
