Students collaboratively perform “All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten”

“There aren’t a lot of people in the cast, so we’ve been able to get really close with each other and get to know each other really well, so I’ve made some friends,” Parker said. “The biggest take-away that I’ve gotten from this is that everybody is at a different point in their life, and everybody has different needs, but sometimes one point can meet a whole lot of needs and it’s incredible how one production can change so much.”

U!Learn lectures help students prepare for life after college

“Just go,” Sandoval said. “It’s 45 minutes of your time, and you’re only going to benefit from it. No matter where you’re coming from, you’re going to walk away learning something new, and it’s going to be helpful information. I know, whenever I show up, I’m going to learn information that I didn’t even know I needed to know.”

“[Women] face unique challenges both in the classroom and in the workplace,” Bian said. “Even though representation for women in college has become equivalent to men, the number of women majoring in STEM fields is still drastically lower than men, and the number of women enrolling in graduate STEM education is fewer still. Our goal is to improve retention of women in STEM at the undergraduate level through mentorship, education and support.”

Westwood College Ministry walks to bring clean water to Zambia

“I participated in the Water Walk initially because I believed it was going to do great things in Zambia, where people struggle to have clean water,” Hose said. “Seeing the dirty water from the lake that we scooped into buckets and carried for miles made me realize that clean water is a privilege that I do not even think about.”
