The Oklahoma Christian University men's basketball team pulled off two upsets on their way to the Heartland Conference Championship, one against second seeded University of Arkansas-Fort Smith 88-79 and the second over St. Edward's University 94-93 before they fell in the championship game 77-57 to Dallas Baptist University.

In a double header against Lubbock Christian University, the Oklahoma Christian University softball team lost the first match up 11-0 before coming back with a 9-0 victory in the second game.
