PLC provides leadership opportunities, community for students

“The biggest thing I’ve learned is that there aren’t social boundaries on this campus,” Compton said. “In PLC they taught us, especially since it’s a Christian campus, you should just talk to anyone and be friendly to people because you don’t know who you’re going to impact. Same goes for board members and directors or heads of different things. You just go up to them and introduce yourself because they want to meet you. Break the barrier because they don’t really get contact with students so take initiative. It builds community around you.”

Lady Eagles take 10th

The Oklahoma Christian University women’s cross-country team placed 10th out of 11 teams in the Oklahoma Baptist Invitational while the solo runner for the men's team, junior Tanner Cate finished in 62nd.

Capitol Hill ministry allows students to invest, build relationships with inner-city children

“I would definitely encourage OC students to get involved, because the inner-city demographic we serve does not typically show the strong and healthy support that these kids really need,” Campbell said. “By showing up and spending time with them, they will feel encouraged and want to come back. This opens the door for these kids to consistently hear about the Bible and learn to grow in a responsible, Godly way.”
