After traveling to Claremore, OK the Oklahoma Christian University men’s soccer team lost to Rogers State University 3-0.
The Eagles fell behind in the 19th minute as the Hillcats scored to go up 1-0.Junior Gary Goldsboro Jr. finished the game with three saves while the Hillcats outshot Oklahoma Christian 13-8.
In their final game of the season, the Eagles fell 4-1 to the third-ranked team in the NCAA Division II coaches pole, Midwestern State University. After Midwestern State goalkeeper punched the ball out of the box, sophomore Garrett Blume found it for a header to score the first goal of the game in the 17th minute.
The Mustangs tied the game up five seconds out of halftime. Then, they took the lead in the 75th minute. By the end of the game, the Mustangs outshot the Eagles 15-5 and Goldsboro Jr. had four saves.
Following the game, Oklahoma Christian honored seniors Anthony Buchanan, Tyler Buchanan, Braydan Castrop, Clay Collier, Nijee Cooper and Cody McLemore who all played their final game for the Eagles.
For the Lady Eagles, they waited out a two-hour game delay before losing to Newman University 7-2.
After the Jets scored in the 24th minute, Oklahoma Christian answered back as junior Darrian Palacios took a 30-yard shot that tied the game 1-1. Newman scored three more times before freshman Corina Marin hit 10-yard shot from the left in to bring the deficit down 4-2.
The Jets scored three more times and outshot the Lady Eagles 29-17 on the game.
Sophomore Addison Milner matched her season high with 11 saves, bringing her save to bring her total on the year to 119.
The Lady Eagles took on Rogers State in their season finale, losing 6-0 Oct. 28. Within two minutes of play, Oklahoma Christian gave up a goal as the Hillcats took a 1-0 lead and built on it from there.
The Hillcats outshot Oklahoma Christian 21-11 on the game.
Milner finished the season with 125 saves, leading the Heartland Conference and averaging 6.94 saves as she appeared in every game for the Lady Eagles this season.
Seniors Madison Brinkman, Chelsea Key, Nixon, Monique Raygoza and Madeline Roseke were honored after their final game for Oklahoma Christian.
