Intramural All-Sports Update

Oklahoma Christian University intramural athletics started its soccer season, the final sport of the 2018-19 year, on Tuesday, March 26.

While competing in various sports, Oklahoma Christian’s four female social clubs, five male social clubs, upperclassmen and freshmen men and women compete against one another for the title of All-Sports Champions, awarded to one female club and one male club.

Rick Judd, Director of Intramurals, said the title of All-Sports is awarded at the end of each school year.

“All-Sports is determined by each game and sport being worth a certain amount of points,” Judd said. “The winners are announced in chapel at the end of the last intramural sport.”

In the fall, teams competed in softball, flag football, cross-country, pool, tennis, pingpong and volleyball for points.

When students returned in the spring, teams participated in basketball, swimming, doubles pool and doubles pingpong. Soccer marks the final sport of the spring season and the last chance for clubs to gain points toward the title of All-Sports.

After the doubles pool and pingpong competition on Sunday, March 10, the clubs’ points were released.
