Intramural Female Athlete of the Week

Name: Paige Hamm

Club: Gamma Rho

Year: Sophomore

Hometown: Portland, OR

Major: Elementary Education

Sport: Flag football B Team

Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2019: In the last intramural games before fall break, Gamma Rho B Team played Iota Kappa Phi A team. Hamm played as rusher on defense for Gamma, utilizing her speed to grab the other team’s flags. She recorded several sacks against Iota and grabbed Iota’s flags at crucial moments to prevent further scoring opportunities.

Q: What do you enjoy about playing intramurals?

A: “Being physically active helps relieve a lot of stress, so I love devoting a little bit of time every now and then throughout my week to go run and have some fun.”

Q: What is your favorite memory from playing intramurals?

A: “Probably just having support from the rest of the club to cheer us on. Being a rusher with Mallori has been pretty awesome too. We’re going 2 years strong.”

Intramural Male Athlete of the Week

Name: Duncan Caldwell

Club: Chi Lambda Phi

Year: Sophomore

Hometown: Edmond, OK

Major: Communications and Missions

Sport: Flag Football B2 Team

Stats:

Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2019: On Oct. 15, Chi B2 Team played Kappa B Team. Caldwell played rusher and center. He pulled several flags and blocked for the Chi quarterback. He also grabbed several catches.

Q: Why did you want to play flag football?

A: “So I can impress recruiters and go to the NFL.”

Q: Why do you enjoy playing flag football?

A: “I enjoy playing intramurals with my eight brothers.”

Q: What is your favorite memory from playing intramurals?

A: “My favorite memory from playing was last year when I got tackled by a Delta guy.”
