Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019, and Sunday, Sept. 15, 2019:On Sept. 12, Theta Theta Theta played Gamma Rho. With one inning remaining, Theta held the lead by two runs, 11-9. Then, lightning blasted across the Oklahoma night sky, causing the game to come to an early end. The game resumed Sunday with Gamma up-to-bat to try to win the game. Marquez, a big-time hitter who scored several runs for Theta, snagged the final two outs to secure the win for Theta by one run, 11-10.
Q: Why did you want to play softball intramurals?
A: “Softball was basically my whole life growing up. I’m pretty sure one of the first things my dad taught me to do was throw a ball. Softball is still a passion, and it’s still so much fun.”
Q: What is your favorite memory from playing intramurals with Theta?
A: “My favorite memory is watching my girls, who may have never played, get their first hit, catch their first pop fly or throw someone out. It’s so fun watching them experience a game that I’ve always loved.”

Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2019:On Wednesday, McLeckie stood at home plate to bat for the first time in his college career. He recorded two hits and played right field as the Kappa B team played the Freshman B team.
Q: Why do you enjoy playing softball?
A:“It helps me close my activity ring on my Apple Watch.”
Q: Why did you want to play softball intramurals?
A: “I figured it was time to redeem myself from a poor season in third grade.”
