Monday, Nov. 4 and Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2019: On Nov. 4, the women of Phi Omega Nu played Gamma Rho’s B team and forced the game to go three sets after winning one set over Gamma. Then, on Wednesday, Nov. 6, Phi again took the game into three sets, this time against Theta Theta Theta. In the third set, Phi defeated Theta. Randall played a key role in winning one set over Gamma, playing key passes on the backline and gaining points on serves.
Q: Why did you enjoy playing volleyball?
A: “It’s easy to understand and I love gaining points from serving.”
Q: What do you enjoy about playing intramurals?
A: “I’m happy I got to know members from my club and made new memories with them.”

Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019: The A-Team men’s playoffs remains wide open as the positioning for second, third and fourth came down to points scored against teams. Nevertheless, the Freshman Men’s A Team set themselves apart early and led off some key spikes by Whiddon. They defeated Chi A Team Nov. 5 and battled close with Delta A Team to claim the second seed. Whiddon, whose main position is outside hitter, utilizes his height to score on key hits and block the opponent.
Q: Why do you enjoy playing volleyball?
A: “Spiking the ball is really satisfying.”
Q: What is your favorite memory from playing with the freshmen?
A: “Coach Diego getting angry is pretty dope.”
Q: Why did you want to play volleyball?
A: “Volleyball is pretty fun, and it’s a party to compete with the other freshman guys.”
