Oklahoma Christian University is taking steps to prevent any potential threats the current drought poses to the campus.
The Oklahoma Christian University men and women's track teams both traveled to Joplin, MO to compete in the Pittsburgh State Invitational Jan. 27 and 28.
“It really shows that we’re there for each other, because a lot of times, it’s easy to feel like you’re alone, that things in the world are only happening to you,” Engle said. “Life’s not perfect, but God’s love perseveres through all, and to come and meet men who have been through things and share your story. Listening to speakers talk about their lives has always impacted me, and I think it impacts a lot of people.”
“We really just wanted to think of ideas to better the campus specifically around diversity - discussing ideas and opportunities to have some of the tougher conversations that are in the world now,” Stewart said. “I think the heart behind it is to allow for a safe space for college students to develop the skills to have tough conversations and try to come to a conclusion, or at least develop your own idea on certain topics.”
