“When you rush a club, you are looking for people with the same ideals as you,” Slagell said. “I think that plays into the idea of fellowship a little bit. You are looking for, in my case, a group of girls who are Christian and willing to talk about their faith and share experiences. I think it is important for Christians to be a part of groups like that.”
In efforts to keep traditions alive, the men of Kappa Sigma Tau ventured on their annual float trip. In addition, they invited all Oklahoma Christian students to join them in making memories on a float down the Illinois River.
For the 10 different social service clubs on the Oklahoma Christian University campus, Club Night, which took place on Sept. 5, was a chance to introduce their clubs and encourage potential members to attend their various rush events through the end of the month.
