Intramural Female Athlete of the Week:
Name: Mallori McDonald
Club: Gamma Rho
Year: Junior
Major: Nursing
Team: Football A-Team
Q: What positions do you play?
A: Lineman, rusher and safety.
Q: How do you feel about Gamma’s football season heading into the rest of the games?
A: It’s going to be so fun and so competitive against all the clubs. We have a great group of girls that want to win, but also just want to have some fun!
Q: What was your best moment from the game last night?
A: I caught an interception playing as a defensive back, which I don’t play, and then scored a touchdown. I always play defense so I was never expecting to ever get to score a touchdown!
Q: What gets you pumped up for an intramural game?
A: Gamma is always so hype and excited for whatever we’re doing so just hearing them cheering and seeing girls show up gets me pumped up for a game.
Intramural Male Athlete of the Week
Name: Thomas Eddy
Club: Psi
Year: Senior
Hometown: Del City
Team: Football B
Q: What positions do you play?
A: Tailback, defensive end and kicker
Q: How do you feel about Psi’s football season heading into the rest of the games?
A: We’ll definitely cause more issues than people expect. It is my first year at psi but from what I understand this is better than Psi has been previously. I think we have a good shot at placing high in our league.
Q: What was your best moment from the game last night?
A: I had some nice little runs down the sideline. Got to show some speed a little. There was also a goal saving tackle at the 2-yard line and the team held our goal line defense for at least three downs until halftime came. That was probably our best team moment.
Q: What gets you pumped up for an intramural game?
A: I am honestly just in this to have some fun. For me, it is just a way to relax and have a good time.
