Q: Why did you want to play basketball intramurals?

A: “I actually joined club with the specific intention that I wanted to be able to play intramurals. I wanted to play basketball because I played in high school and I am the program assistant for the women’s basketball team at Oklahoma Christian. I love the game. I wanted to get back out on the court and help teach the other girls how to play and have confidence in themselves. I wanted to play to just have a good time and make friends. Winning is just a bonus.”

Q: Why do you enjoy playing basketball?

A: “I enjoy playing because every player is important. Most sports you can easily hide while playing and never really contribute much, but in basketball you are needed to pull your weight in offense and defense. I have been able to watch some girls really excel because they can’t hide and are needed to do their job. The thing I love the most is the team aspect. I have gotten hit and knocked to the ground a handful of times, and every time Phi has been there to help me up.”

A: “I just enjoy competing. I’ve gotten pretty busy this year, so it’s nice to be able to do something purely for fun.”

Q: What specific events did you win?

A: “I believe there is no ‘I’ in team, so as a team Delta won every event because we are so far superior to every other club.”
