According to the latest data released from the White House Coronavirus Task Force, Oklahoma ranks fourth in COVID-19 test positivity and ninth in new daily cases.
On Sunday, Sept. 6, Oklahoma reported 69,354 total cases with 905 deaths and 58,560 recoveries. Oklahoma had two days this past week where the death toll was in the double digits. Thursday saw a death toll rise of 13 from the day previous and Friday had a rise of 12.
Edmond has recorded 2,162 total cases, 21 deaths and 1,864 recoveries. Edmond saw its case total rise by 185 from last week’s number.
Edmond resides in Oklahoma County which is in the orange risk zone according to the state health department’s color-coded risk map.
