On Wednesday, Sept. 21, SGA met for their weekly senate meeting. They discussed the verse of the week, minutes from last week’s meeting, fund request updates, and upcoming events from Eagle Eye.
After SGA President Micah Burk called the meeting to order, she invited SGA Chaplain Jeb Klafter to read the verse of the week and lead prayer.
Following the prayer, SGA Executive Treasurer Josh Knox gave funding updates, including approval for Women Who Lead to host Madi Prewett as a keynote speaker in March 2023. SGA also approved funding for the LASO Celebration.
Next, the Homecoming Committee requested funding for a $10,000 budget to fund events happening throughout the homecoming season.
The meeting concluded with an event brief from Eagle Eye. This included the Spirit Volleyball Kickoff on Sept. 23, the PME Tie-Dye Party on Sept. 24, a Chris Renzema Concert on Oct. 21 and a Pumpkin Festival on Oct. 25.
