SGA Weekly Update

On Wednesday, Oct.5, SGA met for their weekly senate meeting. The meeting consisted of the weekly Bible verse and prayer, reviewing last week’s meeting minutes, funding requests updates, the special guest of the week, and events from Eagle Eye.

To start off the meeting, SGA Chaplin Jeb Klafter read the weekly verse and led everyone in prayer. Then, SGA President Micah Burk reviewed the meeting minutes from last week.

Next, Team OC requested reimbursement on items bought for the Glow Run. They also made a funding request which would allow 100 Oklahoma Christian students to participate in the Holiday Hustle planned for Nov. 12. 

Following Team OC, SGA Executive Treasurer Josh Knox gave updates on the approval of the Women’s Chapel funding request for new stickers. 

Then, Athletic Director and Men’s Golf Coach David Lynn along with Director of Athletic Communications Kregg Matthews spoke to SGA about club sports. They also talked about ways to encourage students to attend sporting events. 

To end the meeting, Eagle Eye presented the upcoming events on campus. These include the Choral Concert on Oct. 9, the Chris Renzema Concert on Oct. 21 and the Pumpkin Festival on Oct. 25.
