*DISCLAIMER: Editors in spring sing voted before seeing any performances and based picks off of pure speculation. These are called “Way too Early” for a reason*
5th: Delta Gamma Sigma (Romans on Vacation)
4th: Kappa Sigma Tau (Leprechauns)
3rd: Gamma Rho (Gardeners)
2nd: Chi Lambda Phi (Scarecrows)
1st: Lambda Chi Zeta (Vikings)
Delta
Spearheaded by legacy child Teagan Minor and last year’s director Luke Ferguson, Delta has always produced entertaining show after entertaining show. Only boasting three members who have placed in the past (Teagan Minor in 2023, TJ Lee and Jackson Stone in 2022) shows a potential lack of competitive experience, particularly compared to the other clubs. But combining a simpler choreography with clean lines could be enough for a top five appearance this year.
Kappa
After crafting a masterpiece of a show and winning third place last year, Nathan Dillinger is back at the helm. This time, the man working alongside him is legacy child Camden Hayworth. Kappa made a big splash with their show last year, and are ready to go all in for first place this year.
Gamma
Gamma has always been a top contender for winning spring sing, combining the cleanest lines with a roster that can double other club’s spring sing rosters. With former cheerleaders Chloe Voss and Jaycee Smith in charge Gamma will have everything needed to put together another amazing show. The seniors in the class won two years ago, and will be looking to end their spring sing careers with another title.
Chi
Last year’s champions have a lot on the line this year. Having already won homecoming and with all sports almost guaranteed, the talk of a triple crown is real this year. Cole Klaassen is back in charge, this time working alongside Mason McDonald. The Chi seniors will also be clashing with Gamma seniors for strongest finishes across their spring sing tenures, as both now have a fourth place finish (freshmen year, 2022), a second place finish (Chi in 2023, Gamma in 2024), and a first place finish (Chi in 2024, Gamma in 2023). Combining fun lyrics, clean lines, and well-timed flips, Chi has everything needed to walk away with another title this year.
Lambda
Ever since their revival in 2020, Lambda has been a consistent top contender in spring sing. Having placed third, first, third, and fourth, the consistency in ranking well sets them up to continue with another strong performance this year. With Sadie Vrooman and Linsey Christian calling the shots and a crew filled with former New Reign performers to build on vocals, do not count them out. Lambda is considered the favorite per the majority of the Talon staff, and this is their opportunity to back the talk.
