Oklahoma Christian Soccer New Record

The Eagles soccer team has recently set a new record for not only the school but also for D2, going six games in a row without getting scored on. This is a big moment for the program, and one that will no doubt help build momentum for the team.
Tyler Ackah-Wheatcroft said, “I am very happy that we have been able to hold teams to very few goals and we have been able to extend this unbeaten run to 6 games. As well as being able to break the program record in D2 for clean sheets.”
Ackah-Wheatcroft is one of Oklahoma Christian University’s star players, recently getting lone star defensive player of the week twice in a row.
Is It Time for the Dodgers to Bench Ohtani?
Cole Osburn
The Los Angeles Dodgers entered the National League Championship Series hoping to take another step toward a third straight World Series title. Instead, they find themselves down two games (0-2) to the Milwaukee Brewers. The biggest question surrounding the team is whether their best player should even be in the lineup.
Shohei Ohtani has been one of the most dominant players in baseball for years, with talks of him becoming the greatest player the game has ever seen, if he is not there already. However, his recent performances have looked nothing like what fans have come to expect. Through six games, 24 plate appearances and going 0-for-4 with two strikeouts in Monday night’s 7-4 loss to Milwaukee, Ohtani is now hitting just .150/.261/.150 this postseason (Perry, 2026).
For a player who has built his career around doing things that seem impossible, those numbers are hard to believe.
Ohtani has not hit a home run since Aug. 18 and has been dealing with lingering knee and biceps injuries throughout the season. Over his last 35 games, including the postseason, he is hitting just .197 (Chen, 2026).
This is where Dodgers manager Dave Roberts faces one of the toughest decisions of his career.
According to a report from The Athletic, the Dodgers are considering sitting Ohtani for Game 3 on Wednesday.
“He doesn’t feel great. I think for me, it’s having a conversation with him tomorrow, kind of try to figure out what’s best for him, what’s best for us. He certainly has earned that conversation and deserves it,” Roberts said. If that happens, top prospect Josue De Paula could take his place as the designated hitter (Chen, 2026).
Under normal circumstances, the idea of benching Ohtani would sound ridiculous. One does not usually take the best players in baseball out of the lineup during the most important games of the season, but these are not normal circumstances.
The Dodgers are two losses away from elimination, and they cannot afford to keep waiting for their offense to figure things out. At some point, Roberts has to stop thinking about what Ohtani has accomplished in the past and start thinking about who gives his team the best chance to win right now.
That does not mean Ohtani is suddenly a bad player. It means even the best players in the world can struggle, especially when injuries are involved.
There is also a strong argument for keeping him in the lineup. Ohtani has shown throughout his career that he can change a game with one swing. Taking him out means losing that possibility, and it would be difficult to watch him hit a home run off the bench after deciding he should not start.
Meanwhile, the Brewers have an opportunity to do something they could not accomplish last October. They have taken the first two games of the series and now have a chance to put the defending champions on the edge of elimination.
The biggest storyline heading into Game 3 should not just be whether Ohtani plays. It should be whether the Dodgers can make the adjustments needed to compete with a Milwaukee team that has outplayed them through two games.
