Jon Favreau Receives Star on Walk of Fame

Actor and director Jon Favreau is the latest celebrity to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Unveiled on Feb. 13 at 6840 Hollywood Boulevard, Favreau’s star is the 2,746th to grace the infamous Walk of Fame. Actor Robert Downey Jr. and chef Roy Choi joined the director at the ceremony.

“Sixteen years ago this week, Jon and I were in pre-production on what felt like a high-concept indie, and we were fueled by this infectious yet unfounded confidence,” Downey Jr. said.

Downey Jr. was referring to the 2008 film Iron Man, a film directed by Favreau which rejuvenated Downey Jr.’s career and simultaneously established the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

While starting as an actor in 1993’s Rudy, Favreau’s directorial debut was not until 2001 with the film Made. In 2003, however, he received his big break when he directed the Christmas film Elf

In addition to directing two of the three Iron Man films, Favreau also served as executive producer on multiple Avengers films. Currently, he is working on The Mandalorian, who’s third season will premiere on March 1.

This will be Rihanna’s second child with rapper A$AP Rocky. Their first child, a son, was born in May 2022.

Rihanna performed a 13-minute set which featured multiple hit records such as “Only Girl (In the World),” “We Found Love” and “Umbrella.” She closed the show with “Diamonds.”

Post Malone Turned Away by Australian Bar

American rapper Post Malone attempted to visit a bar in Perth, Australia, but was turned away because of his tattoos.

Malone was informed his tattoos, particularly the ones on his face, violated the bar’s dress code. According to Fox News, this included “face, neck and offensive tattoos.”

The rapper, who has around 70 tattoos total, spoke to an Australian news outlet saying he had never experienced anything like this before.

Following the interview, the bar released a statement and offered an apology.

“At QT, we aim to welcome everyone and celebrate the uniqueness of every individual.”

The bar continued by placing blame on a third-party security company, saying they did not “exercise the appropriate discretion.”
