“The Phantom of the Opera” offers discounted tickets for students, faculty

Oklahoma Christian University students and faculty interested in attending Cameron Mackintosh’s new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “The Phantom of the Opera” can purchase discounted tickets to the performance Saturday night through next Sunday, Jan. 20.

A limited number of $26 tickets to all performances are available at the Civic Center box office beginning two hours prior to each show for students, educators, senior citizens and military personnel.

Hailed by critics as “bigger and better than ever before,” this production boasts many “exciting special effects” including the show’s legendary chandelier, new scenery and lighting designs and new staging and choreography, according to the show’s website.

The “beloved story and thrilling score” will be performed by a cast and orchestra of 52, with over 1,200 costume pieces used during the show and over 6,000 beads on the chandelier, making “Phantom” “one of the largest productions now on tour.”

Performances are held at the Civic Center Music Hall in Oklahoma City, OK. Tickets are limited to two per person, and a valid ID must be shown when purchasing the tickets from the box office.
