Things to do in Oklahoma in February

The start of a new month provides Oklahoma Christian University students with numerous activities to get off campus and involved in the surrounding communities. From basketball artistry to a night at the Oscars, the following events are intended to help students see why this is the perfect time to get out and about in Oklahoma City.

Yoga Tuesday in the Gardens – Oklahoma City, OK

Tuesdays in February

Offering an all-levels class, participants should bring their own yoga mat and water. Attendees will meet in the north lobby for check-in each week and must collect a wristband from the north lobby to participate.

Karaoke Night – Oklahoma City, OK

HeyDay in lower Bricktown offers free karaoke on the first Wednesday of the month. “Come and sing like no one is watching,” eat some snacks and hang out with friends.

Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park: Twelfth Night – Oklahoma City, OK

Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park will open the 2019 season with one of Shakespeare’s most beloved comedies, “Twelfth Night,” directed by Kathryn McGill.

Live on the Plaza – Oklahoma City, OK

Every second Friday of the month, Plaza District businesses stay open late with featured artists, live music, special events and local shopping.

Harlem Globetrotters 2019 – Oklahoma City, OK

Feb. 9

Spectators can witness ball-handling wizardry and basketball artistry as the Original Harlem Globetrotters prepare for their World Tour against the Washington Generals. The Globetrotters will showcase basketball’s first 4-point line, located 30 feet from the basket – 6 feet and 3 inches beyond the top of the NBA’s current 3-point line.
