“You are with other people who are going through the same things,” Winn said. “You get the sense of, ‘I am not in this all by myself’ and ‘I am not the only one who thinks or feels like this.’ It is nice to have this community and support.”

Two students at Oklahoma Christian University debated the positive and negative effects of a Disney Princess culture on young females.
In efforts to keep traditions alive, the men of Kappa Sigma Tau ventured on their annual float trip. In addition, they invited all Oklahoma Christian students to join them in making memories on a float down the Illinois River.
While some students vacationed and participated in mission opportunities, other Oklahoma Christian University students prepared for life after graduation by obtaining summer internships.
“OC has always held a special place in my heart,” Trent Dobbs said. “My siblings went here and it’s a place I’ve always wanted to come back to."
“It is a good way to introduce yourself to health and fitness,” Sophomore McKenna Box said. “A lot of people start on their own and get really lost, and they don’t know what to do. But the classes are really structured and organized, so it gives people a nice foundation to be able to move on and do things outside of class time.”
