COVID weekly update

In a week that has seen Edmond and the rest of southern Oklahoma go through a historic ice storm, COVID-19 cases have dropped and the 7-day average across the state has collapsed.

Oklahoma currently has 120,193 total cases with 14,968 active cases. There have also been 1,306 deaths.

Among Oklahoma cities Edmond is ranked fifth in total confirmed cases with 4,189 total cases. Edmond also has reported 26 COVID-19 related deaths. 

Edmond is a part of Oklahoma County which is currently in the orange color-coded area

Oklahoma Christian University has reported 7 current active cases on campus as of Oct. 26. There are also 29 students in quarantine or isolation. There have been 131 total COVID-19 cases since July 31.

IMMY Labs is Oklahoma Christian’s campus COVID testing partner and they are expanding their testing and will add a Friday testing option on campus beginning this Friday. IMMY Labs now holds testing sights on Sunday, Tuesday and Friday.
