An individual dressed in a blue Cookie Monster costume from the Sesame Street television show was captured speeding down a highway in Germany. Reportedly, police registered the motorist going 11 kilometers (6.8 miles) over the speed limit.
“Police in Germany are attempting to follow the crumbs that will lead them to the blue monster,” says Butterfield from Global News.
However, police are not amused by the alleged gag. The dangers of driving with the obstruction of a mask and the risk of crash make this issue far less funny than it seems.
Police spokesperson, Peter Bandermann told the Daily Mail, “The fun of wearing a mask from The Muppet Show can quickly turn serious.”
Police are still searching for the identity of this cookie-lover-dressed motorist.

Wednesday evening, Floridians experienced another wave of storms, as Hurricane Milton struck only weeks after Hurricane Helene. Making landfall on the west coast, Hurricane Milton ripped across Florida along with tornadoes, high wind speeds and flooding.
According to NBC, “more than 50 of Florida’s counties (were) under states of emergency” as the storm approached highly populated areas.
Despite the tangible fear of the storm surge, it never materialized, leaving far less damage than predicted.
“The storm damaged buildings and infrastructure and brought intense rainfall, but the catastrophic storm surge that had been fears never materialized. In central and eastern Florida, Milton triggered tornadoes that are believed to have killed at least four people,” says Reuters.

The pursuit took the department into the Timberdale neighborhood near Bryant Avenue and included help from the Oklahoma City Police Department’s helicopter.
While one suspect of the porch pirate duo was caught initially, the other remained elusive. The latter suspect was being searched for by law enforcement at the time of the first suspect’s arrest.
In an update on Thursday, “Edmond police confirm, two suspects from this afternoon’s porch pirate operation turned manhunt have been taken into custody,” says Gables at KFOR.
