SGA hears funding request

After taking a week off for fall break, Student Government Association (SGA) members met last night to discuss announcements and vote on a funding request.

Senior Alexa Lewis spoke on behalf of the Family Science Honors society. The group will attend its first-ever national conference in November, where six students will have the opportunity to network and develop their own identity in the field.

The group requested a total of $916.98, including the price of the conference registration and a hotel stay for the students, to cover 50% of the total cost for the trip.

With Homecoming only a week away, senators encouraged students to vote for a Homecoming king and queen. There are currently six girls and six boys nominated for the court.

The Spiritual Life Committee will send a prayer form to students today for students to write their prayer requests for the SGA to pray over.
