Weekly COVID-19 update

On Tuesday, Oklahoma reported 508 new COVID-19 cases, the lowest number of new cases in months.

The low number of new cases is likely tied to the bad weather and the lack of people being able to get tested for COVID-19

Oklahoma reported 20 new COVID deaths on Tuesday. The state’s death toll now stands at 4,061 people.

Among Oklahoma cities Edmond is ranked third in total confirmed cases with 16,139. Edmond also has reported 97 COVID-19 related deaths, seven of those over the past week. 

Edmond is a part of Oklahoma County which is currently in the orange color-coded area

Oklahoma Christian University reported 9 current active cases on campus as of Monday Feb. 15. There are also 10 students currently in quarantine or isolation. 

Since Jan. 19 the university has reported 46 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
