Weekly COVID update

On Sunday, Oklahoma reported 1,003 new cases bringing the total number of cases to 76,807 with 946 deaths and 64,467 recoveries.

As of Sunday, Edmond has recorded 2,400 total cases, 22 deaths and 2,046 recoveries. Edmond saw its case total rise by 238 from last week’s number.

Edmond resides in Oklahoma County which is in the “Orange Level” risk zone according to the state health department’s color-coded risk map.

Edmond Public Schools is currently doing a hybrid schedule learning. Where some groups of students go to school Monday, Wednesday and others go Tuesday, Thursday with everyone off Friday.

As of Sept. 21, Oklahoma Christian has 11 active COVID-19 cases, 27 students in isolation or quarantine and 80 total positives since July 31, according to its COVID-19 dashboard.
