The Oklahoma Christian University women’s soccer team remains undefeated and winless after its season-opener against Newman University on Thursday.
The Lady Eagles and Lady Jets maintained a 1-1 score through two overtimes before officials called the game.
Oklahoma Christian’s goal came relatively early in the game, when an assist from Sydni Wiles set up Rubi Villegas to score in the 26th minute. The score sat at 1-0 for the remainder of the half and the majority of the second half.
But Newman answered back in the 81st minute with a rebound put-back into the left corner of the goal. Both teams were unsuccessful in scoring again in regulation time or in the two overtime periods to follow.
The Lady Eagles look to earn their first win of the season at Northeastern State University on Sunday.
