Gamma Rho

After dropping a couple basketball games to start the season flat footed, Gamma Rho needed a win to get back in charge. Enter the swim meet and Mary-Natalie Young. Young was an unstoppable force in the pool, placing first in all but one of the events she swam in. Even in that event, she still went on to place second. Thanks to Young, Gamma dominated the swim meet.

1. What is it like getting to compete with all of your sisters in Gamma Rho?

It’s super fun getting out there and swimming with all my fellow club members.

2. Gamma didn’t have the most ideal start to the basketball season. What’s it like helping Gamma win the swim meet and regain some control?

It’s an honor to be able to help Gamma get more points on the table for all sports. I know swimming is my forte, and I’ve definitely missed it. I’m happy to help Gamma get some more points in the swim meet.

3. Are there any other sports you’re looking forward to playing?

I haven’t really played basketball or soccer before. I think I would be on the lower league teams, but I can still lend a hand.

Kappa Sigma Tau

Kappa Sigma Tau came out firing on all cylinders against the freshmen in the A league. There were several excellent candidates for athlete of the week, but Micah Tatro ended up on top. Tatro led Kappa in scoring and remained a constant pressure throughout the game with the freshmen. In a league that stars a former NCAA athlete, Tatro is the man to stop if clubs want to win.

1. You re-rushed into Kappa last fall. What’s it like competing for a new club?

It’s nice getting to know a lot more people. It’s a different atmosphere for sure.

2. Kappa had a huge win over the freshmen. What was it like during the game?

It was fun, I really enjoy our team. We’re really competitive, but at the same time, we like to play together as a team, and there’s not a lot of selfish play. I feel like we have a chance to be really good.

3. Are there any other matchups you’re looking forward to?

I’m looking forward to playing against Chi. I feel like it’s gonna be a good, close game. They’ve got good players and we’ve got good players. I feel like every time we’ve played this semester, especially in the playoffs, it was good.
