Intramural Female Athlete of the Week:

                  Name: Madi Coon 

                       Club: Theta Theta Theta 

                                    Year: Junior

                          Hometown: Okemah, OK

                 Major: Medical Laboratory Science 

                           Sport: Football A-Team

Q: What position do you play?

A: Safety


Q: Do you think Theta’s level of play right now will carry on into playoffs?

A:  Yes. I think we have a lot of momentum and I think it’ll continue to carry over.  

Q: How does the team stay motivated throughout games?

A: The fans on the sidelines cheering us on does a lot for our motivation and energy levels. 

Q: Do you think your interceptions played a key role in your games this week?

A:  I think they definitely helped, but our coaches put the team in a position to make it happen. They told us what to expect which helped all of us out a lot.  

Q: What is your favorite part of intramural football?

A:  Playing alongside my sisters and getting to experience and watch everyone’s’ excitement grow as the games go on is my favorite part of football. 

Q: Do you have any goals for yourself heading into the rest of the season. 

A:  My goal for the season is to put Theta in a position to win All-Sports

Name: Grady McKnight

Club: Chi Lambda Phi

Year: Junior

Hometown: Del City, OK. 

Team: Football A


Q: What position do you play?

A: Cornerback


Q: Do you think Chi’s level of play right now will carry on into playoffs?

A:  I think the energy we going for us right now is really positive. I expect us to keep up the same level of play heading into the playoffs and hopefully have the same success we’ve had thus far. 

Q: How does the team stay motivated throughout games?

A: I think we stay motivated by how much fun we have playing. We had hold ourselves to a high standard and try to stay positive as the game progresses. 

Q: Do you think your interceptions played a key role in your games this week?

A:  I think my interceptions helped set the tone for the game and what we hope to accomplish on defensive side of the ball. With that being said our offense always does its job and scores pretty consistently.
