The last night of intramural football was not one to miss. The night started with the men’s A-team third-place game. It was a nail-biter the whole way through, with both teams putting up great effort and showing fantastic athletic ability. It was a very fast-paced game and one that showed great sportsmanship from both teams. The freshmen and Chi Lambda Phi were both remarkable to watch; however, Chi ended up taking the win from the freshmen.
The next game was the men’s B-team championship between Delta Gamma Sigma and the freshmen. There is no doubt that both teams played hard and wanted the win. Titus Small got mossed, head-tapped, or put on a stretcher, as the freshmen put it. While this may have been an embarrassing moment for him and maybe the rest of Delta, it would not be enough for the freshmen to win, giving the men of Delta’s B team a championship win over the freshmen.
Next up was the women’s A-team championship game. This game was much slower than the others. Both teams, Lambda Chi Zeta and Gamma Rho, had fantastic defenses that were extremely difficult to get through. It was not until the last play of the game that Gamma was able to slip through and score a touchdown that would win the game for them. Both teams played fantastically, and there was great sportsmanship from everyone.
The last game of the night was the men’s A-team championship between Delta and Kappa Sigma Tau. Both teams fought hard, and it definitely was not a game that went quickly. Both teams had plenty of good drives and great athletes. Kappa ended up winning the game, giving themselves another championship this year. This shows that Kappa will be a difficult opponent for all the men’s clubs, and if they are not stopped soon, they might have an easy run for all sports.
