Junior Addy Clift scored 23 points in 22 minutes to lead the Oklahoma Christian University women’s basketball team to a victory over Manhattan Christian College Nov. 2.
Despite allowing Manhattan Christian to go 12-of-28 from 3-point range, the Lady Eagles beat Manhattan Christian 90-58 in their first exhibition game of the 2017-2018 season,
The Lady Eagles lead the game from the beginning as Clift scored eight points and Oklahoma Christian took a 12-0 lead in the first three minutes of action. The Eagles were ahead by as much as 34 points with 5:30 remaining in the game.
Clift, only one of six returning players, lead Oklahoma Christian with 23 points as she went 5-out-of-10 from 3-point range.
Freshman Delyssa Miller scored 14 points and secured 8 rebounds during her 18 minutes of play. Another freshman, Maddison Collyer finished the game with 10 points and five steals in 20 minutes.
Oklahoma Christian out-rebounded Manhattan Christian 57-35. Securing seven of these rebounds, freshman Katie Mayo finished with nine points and two blocks to help lead Oklahoma Christian to a victory.
Junior Carolyne Lawley, a transfer from Murray State College, added six points, three blocks and four assists.
The Lady Eagles will return to the Eagles’ Nest for homecoming game action against York College in their final exhibition game of the season Nov. 4.
