Homecoming nominations annually flood students’ inboxes in search of candidates for the homecoming court. Only seniors are eligible for the crown, but other grade levels and social clubs participate as representatives in the homecoming court.

“It is one thing to email someone a resume, but it is another to get a personal introduction from someone who knows somebody,” Boydstun, said. “There’s the old cliché, ‘It’s not what you know but who you know.’ That is not completely true, but who you know helps you get through the door and then you can get the chance to show what you know.”
In an effort to celebrate the different cultures associated with Oklahoma Christian University, the Student Government Association will host a Multicultural Night this evening, which will include international food, dance and song.
In order to give students the opportunity to engage and reflect on society’s most difficult conversations with thousands of other students across the nation, Oklahoma Christian University united with the Q UNION organization last night to present a series of short lectures on various topics concerning our nation.
“With it being October, I thought putting a spin on it with the pink pumpkins was a good idea,” Lawrence said. “We live in a world where, as sad as it is, cancer has become normal. You hear, ‘Oh, someone else just got diagnosed with breast cancer.’ I do not want it to become a mundane thing.”
