Spring Sing came to a close on March 4, ending a week of song, dance and club participation. However, it was Gamma Rho who took home the first-place trophy.
Gamma Rho’s performance, “Tooth Fairies,” chronicled the day in the life of a tooth fairy, corresponding with the overarching Spring Sing theme “Just My Imagination” about childhood nostalgia and make-believe.
Junior Lily Hester said credit for Gamma’s show was largely due to their directors, Anna Wolf and Preslie Horton.
“I’m really proud,” Hester said. “Our directors really did amazing. I’m still kind of in shock, but I’m feeling great.”
Sophomore Darci Sorrells echoed the sentiment, crediting the club as a whole.
“I’m so, so proud of our girls,” Sorrells said. “We worked really hard and I’m so proud of them.”
While Gamma took home the evening’s top award, Chi Lambda Phi, Lambda Chi Zeta and the freshman class also placed, winning second, third and fourth respectively.
Various secondary awards were also given on closing night, such as best banner, which was given to the freshman class, and student favorite, which was given to Alpha Gamma Omega.
