The Student Government Association brainstorms at last night’s meeting

The Student Government Association (SGA) spent a majority of their time brainstorming for the upcoming semester at last night’s meeting and approved the Homecoming and Fall semester budget of $48,000 for this year.

To encourage SGA members to sign up for committees and to bounce ideas between committees, SGA President Tyler Clark led an extensive brainstorming session. Some ideas included a campus-wide water balloon fight, more recycling bins, getting electric scooters, hosting a farmer’s market, creating an SGA devotional and including women in big chapel.

The first Oklahoma Christian University “Brew Talks” will take place at 8 p.m. in the Brew. Free drinks are provided for the first 30 people to go. Additionally, the “He was like me” event to commemorate Harding Alumnus Botham Jean is at 7 p.m. in the DAH Cali Auditorium.

The first SGA town hall of the semester will occur Thursday, October 4th at 5 p.m. in Cail Auditorium. Students will have the opportunity to ask the executives any question pertaining to the SGA or Oklahoma Christian at large.
