Weekly COVID update

Last week Oklahoma saw COVID-19 cases rise once again with the 7-day average ending at 1,075.

On Sunday, Oklahoma saw 823 new cases and 2 new deaths. The death toll passed 1,000 on Saturday with the current number standing at 1,006.

Among Oklahoma cities Edmond is ranked fifth in total confirmed cases with 2,666. Edmond also has reported 23 COVID-19 related deaths. 

Edmond is a part of Oklahoma County which is currently in the orange color-coded area

Oklahoma Christian University reported 11 new cases on Monday. As of Sept. 28, there are 19 current active cases on campus. There are also 49 students in quarantine or isolation. There have been 91 total COVID-19 cases since July 31.
