In addition to President Donald Trump, First Lady Melania Trump and the White House Senior Advisor Hope Hicks testing positive for COVID-19 on Thursday, numerous other Republican officials have since tested positive for the virus.
Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie announced Saturday that he has contracted COVID-19. RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel, Senator Mike Lee (R-Utah), former White House Counselor Kellyanne Conway, Trump Campaign Manager Bill Stepein, Senator Thom Tillis (R-North Carolina), Senator Ron Johnson (R-Wisconsin), special assistant to the president Nick Luna and White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany have all contracted the virus.
President Trump said in a tweet that he is set to be released from Walter Reed Medical Center at 6:30 a.m. on Monday.
On a local level, Oklahoma Christian University reported 8 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, bringing the cumulative total to 99 since July 31. There are 14 active cases on campus with 23 total students in quarantine or isolation.
