Weekly COVID update

Last week Oklahoma saw COVID-19 cases continue the downward trend in cases with the 7-day average falling to its lowest in months at 2,249 as of Tuesday.

Although new daily cases continue to fall, deaths have not followed that trend. Oklahoma reported 38 new COVID deaths on Tuesday. The state’s death toll now stands at 3,602 people.

Among Oklahoma cities Edmond is ranked third in total confirmed cases with 15,344. Edmond also has reported 87 COVID-19 related deaths, five of those over the past week. 

Edmond is a part of Oklahoma County which is currently in the orange color-coded area

Oklahoma Christian University has reported 13 current active cases on campus as of Feb. 1. There are also 17 students in quarantine or isolation.
