“It is something tangible they can see – encourage them to give back to God, and this organization and Oklahoma Christian in general,” Lind said. “Whichever club has the largest monetary amount given by alumni during Homeward Pride gets money. If you get at least 50 new grad givers, every club gets $500.”

Oklahoma Christian University students worked to raise awareness for eating disorders during Eating Disorder Awareness Week.
“Sometimes, we expect these students to know American culture and often they do not,” Hartman said. “Their parents are often American, but the students grew up in countries other than America and are not completely familiar with many things about American culture—although they look and sound American. We expect them to know things they do not, so this group helps with that challenge.”
“When you travel and experience other places, your eyes are truly opened to the world around you,” Robinett said. “People joke about the ‘OC bubble’ all the time, but I would argue that the ‘bubble’ a lot of us are in is so much bigger than that. I think many people get trapped inside a ‘cultural bubble’ and forget that there are other ways of doing things. I believe it is so important to get out there and experience as much of God’s creation as you can.”
"[My advice for the incoming freshmen is that] it’s one week, and if you can push yourself to go to one more event, that’s more people that you get to meet and more relationships that you get to build, and you get to meet a ton of different people from all over the world,” Killen said.
Local Edmond churches provided various mission opportunities for Oklahoma Christian University students over spring break, specifically both the Edmond Church of Christ and Memorial Road Church of Christ.
“When a film gets submitted, most of the crew gets invited to go to the whole festival and watch other films and their film,” senior Kasey Engle said. “It’s a good place to network and meet other people in the industry and make connections.”
