This weekend, Lambda Chi Zeta placed first for overall show at Oklahoma Christian University’s 54th annual Spring Sing with their theme “Cave Women.” Chi Lambda Phi placed second, Gamma Rho placed third, and the Freshman Class came in at fourth.
After learning of their win, Lambda Chi Zeta’s Spring Sing Directors Hayden Harjo and Erin Monroe said this win meant a lot for the club.
“This is a big deal because Lambda has never won Spring Sing before,” Harjo said.
Director Erin Monroe said a lot of preparation went into this show.
“The girls worked hard, and it is so great to see all their hard work pay off,” Monroe said.
Each year, SGA selects a philanthropy to sponsor through fundraising events during Spring Sing. This year, the non-profit selected was the Christian Service Center, an organization designed to assist the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of those around the community. SGA raised a total of $12,250 for the organization. The clubs also donated over 8,000 cans to the center.
