Memorial Road Church of Christ will host award-winning author and evangelist Lee Strobel on Saturday, Feb. 8. Strobel, the author of more than 20 books including “The Case for Christ: A Journalist’s Personal Investigation of the Evidence for Jesus,” will give a lecture and answer audience questions.
Strobel started his career as a journalist for the Chicago Tribune before he came to Christ and began writing. For much of his life, Strobel was a skeptical atheist, wanting nothing to do with God and especially wanting nothing to do with Christianity. After over a yearlong investigation into the trueness of Christianity and if God was real or not, he came to believe in Christ on Nov. 8, 1981. Since then he has dedicated his life to spreading God’s word and helping skeptics come to believe in Jesus.
The event will take place at Memorial Road Church of Christ starting at 6:30 p.m., followed by a Q&A at 7:30 p.m.
Memorial Road will also provide free childcare for the event.
