What is your favorite part of Homecoming?

My favorite part of Homecoming is getting to work together with my club to create a product to express our personalities and connect that to the OC community. I love walking in the parade and being surrounded by people who love the memories that OC has given them and continues to give them.

What does it mean to you to be selected as a finalist for Homecoming king/queen?

I feel honored, honestly. I really want to express my gratitude toward my peers for selecting me. My freshman year I was not super involved on campus and to come full circle and be very involved on campus—to me this honor recognizes that full journey throughout my four years.

How has being involved with your class influenced your college career?

I’ve loved being really involved on campus and getting to know people of different ages, backgrounds and experiences. Starting my college career as a freshman officer helped me to build relationships with people in my class before separating into clubs. As I’ve gone through college, I’ve still tried to keep up with those relationships that were made at the very beginning. I’m also involved in other student organizations like the AMA, SGA and Earn Your Wings that allow me to stay connected to people in different majors and clubs. These relationships are what make me feel at home.

What is your favorite part of Homecoming?

My favorite part of homecoming is the Alumni Breakfast. This event is so much fun and a great time to get to know past members from every year of Delta dating back to 1972. This event is a prime example of Delta’s unity through strength, dependability and pride.

What does it mean to you to be nominated as Homecoming king?

This nomination means a lot to me. The title of Homecoming king is not what is important to me. What is important is that my fellow peers think highly of me. My mother and father have always told me to treat others the way you want to be treated and to always treat everyone with kindness and respect. I think this nomination is a testament to their teachings and a reflection that I have been able to be kind to everyone I come across.

What is your favorite part of Homecoming?

My favorite part about Homecoming is getting to spend extra time with my club. Whether it’s at events or working on the float and all that jazz.

What does it mean for you to be nominated as Homecoming queen?

Being nominated is honestly pretty cool. It’s for sure not something I expected, but I’m honored that people on campus think enough of me to even consider me for something like this.

Our senior class has been great for me. It has helped me get plugged in on campus and make great memories.

How long have you been involved with Homecoming?

I have been involved with Homecoming since freshman year, walking in the parade each year and attending the events. Last year I served on the executive committee where I was in charge of games, so it was fun getting to see a different side of Homecoming and how everything works behind the scenes.

What is your favorite part of Homecoming?

My favorite part of homecoming is getting to work together with my Kappa brothers and building unique relationships with club members and alumni. We pomped this year so I got to spend a lot of time doing that with different guys and having really cool conversations.
