The meeting moved to President John DeSteiguer discussing a few of his goals with the SGA. He mentioned his appreciation for SGA stepping up and taking action in serving the student body.
“I’m very grateful you’re willing to serve on SGA. It’s very important, and I think it’s a really great thing,” DeSteiguer said.
The president went on to talk about retention rates and explained his goal for Oklahoma Chrisitian University as having at least 80% returning students for a second year of school. The president also mentioned his want for the university was it to be a comfortable environment for students and faculty alike.
“Oklahoma Christian wants to provide a campus which is workable, good, comfortable and attractive,” DeSteigeur said. The president asked SGA to keep ideas coming about improvements to be made throughout the year.
