- Gunman kills nine at Oregon community college (Reuters)
In an execution-style killing of at least nine people, a gunman attacked a classroom at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon on Thursday. The gunman also wounded seven people and was killed in an exchange of gunfire with police. This tragedy marks the 294th and deadliest mass shooting this year in the United States.
